Connecting the products page To prepare the products page, you need to: To create the content source: Use the Content Sources pane of the Dynamic Link palette to create a content source linked to the database of all your products. To set up the Add to Cart button: 1 Create or select the button you want to use for adding items to the shopping cart. 2 In the Bindings Details pane of the Dynamic Link palette, set the button's action to Add to Shopping Cart using the pop-up menu. 3 Set its SKU parameter to SKU. 4 Set its Success Link to cart.asp or whatever you called your shopping cart page. To bind placeholders and links: 1 Bind placeholder text, graphics, and tables (if any) to the appropriate fields of the content source. 2 Bind links to dynamic pages where your designs require them. Note: Step 2 is necessary only if you want to use the Microsoft Commerce Server feature of tracking shopper IDs by storing them in the URL strings. If so, make sure that every page in the site is a dynamic page and that every link is a link to a dynamic page. For detailed instructions on any of these tasks, see Adding dynamic content to pages.
